HAIR TRANSPLANT

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

This is the latest, the most groundbreaking technique to control hair loss - that also induces growth in hair that is weak and thin. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a blood plasma enriched with platelets and growth factors. The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries.

As per the guidelines, blood is withdrawn and centrifuged to collect the Platelet-rich plasma. Ideally, three to four sessions are needed initially; with a month between each session. Clients start noticing reduced hair loss within 2 – 3 sessions, and after 4-5 months, it begins looking like a full head of hair.

Advantages of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

  • PRP injection for androgenic alopecia is a simple, cost-effective, and feasible treatment option for hair loss and is regarded as a valuable Adjuvant Treatment Modality.
  • PRP therapy uses your body’s cells. There is no risk of rejection or an allergic reaction.
  • In many cases, the platelets can reverse hair-thinning or stop a patient’s hair from thinning. Results from the treatment appear over multiple months. A gradual process is better for hair regrowth because it gives you time to adjust to your new hair. It also provides natural-looking results.
