What is PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy or PRP hair treatment is a substance drawn from your blood and injected into your scalp that can purportedly help heal bodily tissues, including follicles from which your hairs grow. It uses the growth factors of your own blood to stimulate hair follicles, boost hair growth, and promote tissue repair. PRP gained massive attention due to the high success rate. It is an effective treatment for hair loss.

How PRP is done

Platelet-Rich Plasma PRP therapy is a three-step treatment where your blood is extracted, processed, and then injected into your scalp. According to the medical practitioners, the procedure sets off the hair growth in the scalp naturally. Sometimes the process is combined with other hair loss treatments or medicines to get the highest possible result.

  • 1 Extraction Extract approximately 10 ml-20 ml of blood from your arm.
  • 2 Segregation Blood is kept in a centrifuge Machine for separation. The centrifuge Machine separates platelet-rich plasma, from the blood sample.
  • 3 Injection Injects the Platelet-rich plasma into the affected area.
